I often get confused for a teenager, or told I look like one. It is both a wonderful gift, and also, annoying. I’m 27, to be clear. I am still young, for sure. But, I’m not 16. So to be confused as one can be annoying, especially when I’m with my children and get weird looks. But anyways! I have decent skin and always have. I didn’t break out very much as a teen. I was lucky. I do get random pimples here and there, especially when I’ve worn a mask all day long (yay COVID😒). I do, however, have insanely dry skin and freckles, which make me susceptible to skin damage. So, my skincare routine is as follows:
Day:
1. Tatcha rice cleanser or Cerave gentle cleanser
2. Vitamin C serum
3. First aid beauty Ultra repair moisturizer with spf
4. A mixture of aveeno and neutrogena Spf 50
5. Burts Bees chapstick
Night:
Tatcha rice cleanser or Cerave gentle cleanser
Ordinary retinol serum (low percent)
Ordinary Niacinamide serum
Cerave SA moisturizer
Aveeno oat probiotic cream
Cerave healing ointment (yes, all over my face)
Laneige lip mask (there’s a good generic alternative on amazon)
As for makeup, I do not wear face makeup. At all. I don’t own foundation. I do have a concealer I got in an ipsy bag that I use if my under eyes are extra red. I personally feel it would be too obvious if I wore face makeup, as I have freckles.
I like mi :$:83! the
the one with the fluffy wand. I have to have a fluffy wand.
I prefer lip tints over lipstick, as they can be dry. But usually just wear chapstick.
For brows, I usually just use the clear too faced or ELF brow gel and that’s it.
So, that’s it. That’s my skincare routine. I try to stay away from lots of makeup and do my best to stay moisturized. This routine is definitely for dry skin. Anyone with oily skin would probably not benefit from multiple moisturizers in one go the way I do.
Also, I have satin pillow cases. Both for my skin and my hair! Plus, they just feel better.
